FRA - JFK 01-03-08
had a power sleep! thank God im back at local time. this trip seriously made my time go crazy... Frankfurt Time then New York Eastern Time then Frankfurt Time then Singapore time! haha but thankfully im like finding time to sleep no matter where i am. ok so on 1st march morning my mum left for frankfurt with my dad first as i had some stuff to attend to. i left in the evening, had dinner with my siblings and off i went to T3 for my departure. was on standby and hence waited like 3hours... doing nothing. thankfully i got onboard the flight! when onboard i was trying to find space for my bag, this german old lady was seriously making life tough for people. stupid nazis! haha! ok not all germans r like that but some of them are like that. she jus kept refusing to allow me to put my bag in the overhead compartment. on top of that she kept pushing me, the stewardess was seriously at a tight position but yea i jus told her ill put it somewhere else. haha! if that wasnt enough wait till you hear this. there was this malaysia guy seating next to me. the flight time is about 12 hours long and yea it would be good to catch some sleep. NO! the old german lady pushed on his seat hard! not allowing him to get a good rest. haha thank God i had a full sleep... was sleeping like a dead log. upon arrival i took the bus with the crew and voila im at Marriott Frankfurt. pretty disturbing considering that i used to stay at the Matrium which is so happen to be opposite marriott!!! argh! haha matrium was seriously the place to be, when i was in frankfurt last time i had a power spa there! starlight showers and neon steamrooms!!! and in marriott? stupid old gym and a racist counter guy. back in frankfurt for the second time, wasnt really looking forward. why!? simply because frankfurt is the most boring place i hav ever been in europe! why?! cus its one of europe's commercial capital! hence! not much fun... lots of work... anways i went to my parents room and yea unpacked my stuff. we then went for breakfast at the executive lounge at marriott. after breakfast my dad and i brought my mum around the village. shops were all closed so nothing much to see as we got out early say about 11am? yea u heard me right 11+am and they r still sleeping. haha! quite normal in europe. hmm so we jus went walking everywhere... brought my mum to a pasta joint where my dad, sis and i used to have lunch at. by far the best pasta joint i had in europe! haha but standard drop or issit cause i had tried the real italian pasta in Milan that my standard grew? haha maybe. anyways we had Fungi pizza and carbonara at the playground. it was pretty cold and had a fuzzy feeling when eating warm food out in the cold. after eating we went back to the hotel as most of the place still wasnt open. had a rest and watched germany's next top model. after that we when to town. HAUFBHANHAUF! haha! their main train station, spelling is wrong but yea thats how u say it! try and say it! haha! we walked around the town with non of the shops open... its a sunday so yea... most shops were closed... we then had kebap and yea went back to the hotel and rest for the day!woke up early in the morning the next day for JFK departure. so packed our bags and off we went. again, was sleeping like mad onboard. upon landing my mum and i were moved to the front so that we can disembark faster, the i met this girl. haha! this indonesian baby! haha so cute... spoke to her and here auntie in indon and yea... haha wat a lucky girl... she is an indonesian with a american passport and parents that work in NYC!!!!!! hahah best! oh yea... before dep from fra to jfk there was this group of german exchange students or students that r on hols haha saw some pretty girls and this chinese girl that was brought up in frankfurt. onboard i was heading for the toilet and when i opened the unlocked door there was this german boy in there... haha! i was pretty stun and yea i jus walked to the side. haha after that he jus kep smiling at me and yea... haha pretty awkward so i jus kept smiling back at him. okok so we landed safely in NYC... took an hour bus ride to Park Central Hotel. not that fab compared to Rondevouz where previously i stayed. ok spelling wrong again for that as im lazy! dad was tired so he went to sleep as my mum and i went with the other crew to a japanese restaurant for late lunch... it was pretty good, i had beef bowl set that came with tempura and a miso soup. freakin big portion. after lunch we then walked around and visited radio city and trump tower. got back to the hotel about 7pm and then...... SLEPT! haha! jus totally knocked out... woke up early next morning to head to the gym... they had this cool equipment that seriously knws how to work the chest man... u can seriously trust new yorkers for good gym equipments! after that woke up my dad and mum and off we went for breakfast with stewardess venus. suppose to bring my mum to the breakfast joint aretha and me used to go but hais cnt find it... in then end the concerige lady directed us to go to Sarabeth's where "sex in the city" filmed. oh the lady was pretty rude and not knowledgable for a stupid conceirge person... anyways got to sarabeth but haha as u guessed it pretty pricy and off we went to another joint. i had belgium waffles for breakfast! haha then got back to the hotel to rest another hour to be join by the other crew. met up with randy who was late as usual! ahha! and we headed around town... we then went to the apple shop where he went to bought a iphone. the shop is pretty cool and i heard they had a controvertial talk about the desgin of the shop. its a cube, somehow resemballing the one in the muslim country. seriously i dnt see anythign wrong with it... anyways we went shopping and yea randy buying the iphone totally made my dad get into a good mood. he bought 3 iphones for my 2 sis and me. awwww... so sweet dad, but seriously about random right? haha anyways its not that ex about the same as buying a new phone in SG. we had this other steward crack it for us and voila! iphone for sinagporean! its pretty cool played with the phone like mad. after cracking the 5 phones we then headed to town for kebap... then we headed our separate ways... i brought my parents to ground zero, liberty island, wall street and the place where that big bull is... oh and we shopped at some where haha i forgot the name. mum bought a rip off shoe and i bought a kenneth cole. we then took a train ride back to time square. first time for my mum and yea its pretty good... plan to let my mum see it only at the night where time square is at it best! so yea... saw this model filming a commercial... took a pic of her and only realise that she was looking straight into my camera when i took a pic of her. haha. we then went to teriyaki boys for dinner. it was pretty late already... got home and jus totally knocked out as usual. next morning we went to a famous hongkong restaurant for breakfast. pretty good i must say but yea still prefer the hongkong porridge i brought don and weijie the other time. after breakfast, dad went straight to the hotel as he had to rest as my mum and i headed around town! was dieing to bring her to this place i like to be in NYC which is rockefaller center where the big ice skating ring was.... love it! but its in the morning so not that nice.... we then went shopping at H&M and A&F haha! jzz A&F new york is freakin cool... ok rather than their typical instore semi nude male models and clothed female models the setting was fab! seriously catered to the youth the store was jus crazy. there was no sunlight at all... pratically like in a club setting, loud music and jus lited lights on the merchandises and of course living models. haha didnt buy anythign though NYC is the only place u get tax free Abercombie and Fitch stuff. had a chat with one of the staff and haha i poped her this question "hey, when being employed does your look play a very big part in being selected?" haha and she replied " hell yeah!" haha she was pretty cool... and then she jus poped "youre good looking, you should work here" haha i blushed. hmm but yea perhaps when i study in NYU that ill go work there... but pay better be good... aint no himbo man... was nice chatting with her. oh yea and u knw one of A&F famous stuff was their jeans jzz... they put their jeans in like a enclosed glass box like a mummy. pretty cool... and yea again... more ripped hot guys around half naked... haha ONEDAY i shall be like that! hahah! after shopping i brought mum to grand central station, bryant park, rosevolt building and then she ditched me as she was tired and left me to go empire state building by myself. we then headed to time square again to get dad some stuff for lunch and we chance upon the "naked cowboy" haha mum was going yaya over him! haha! kidding... took some pic of the iconic guy and off we went. after that went back to the room and prep for dep to frankfurt. oh that morning was the day that time square had a bomb exploded. small bomb but yea... we headed to the airport and i again slept like a pig onboard. arrive in frankfurt in the morning, suppose to go LV but transportation staff in germany were on strike hence no shopping for us. we in state went for lunch at pasta joint and headed to the supermart to buy CHOCOLATE!!!!!!!! haha! love it. germany has good chocs. after that mum and i discussed on going back sg that night or the next night together with dad. and we decided to be back early, went to airport and found out they cancelled us from the flight when we told them on the phone that we will be going on the flight. then again we met another attitude bitch represented by lufthansa. enough of the fed up look and wanting others to claim u down cus ure doing a "good job"... jzzz how professional r u man. she was like "you knw how late r u?!" when we were late... the flight was even delayed... not because of us jus some tech prob. then she goes "why are you giving us such a problem now?" haha i mean er??? haha eh seriously take ur chao bin out of my sight man! fucking bitch! haha i think she is italian decendnet def not pure german with that fake blonde dye job... wat an ass... anyways got to the check in gate and saw this cute baby boy... he was seating behide my and played peek-a-boo with him... good looking parents, he is good looking too... :) haha wat an adorable boy... oh his dad looks like clarke from smallville and mum looks like electra from a movie... jzz e dad had long limbs man... ahha! ok anyways arrived safely in singapore now! flying off to brisbane on 13th having a driving test coming soon hope i pass! this trip was quite eventful... though new york wasnt that exciting as before. hmm... haha yea thats about it. perhaps gonna work hard to study in NY after army. okok bye!
